The Atlanta Falcons face a daunting 2016 schedule. What are the Falcons’ five toughest games next season?

In 2015, the Atlanta Falcons had the easiest strength of schedule supposedly. Turned out it wasn’t so easy, at least not for the Falcons. On paper, the 2016 lineup doesn’t look so friendly. There are a number of difficult games on the schedule, but what are the five toughest?

This year, the NFC South will play all four teams from the NFC West and AFC West, as well as the second-placed teams from the NFC North. Of the Falcons’ 16 games, seven are against playoff teams. They will also play three of the four teams that made it to the conference championships.

Not only do the Falcons face two games against the 15-1, Super Bowl runner-up Carolina Panthers, but they must also head on the road to take on the reigning champions, the Denver Broncos. Who handed the Panthers that one in the loss column, by the way?

Looking ahead to the 2016 season, which of the Falcons’ 16 regular season games are the toughest? It’s tough to pick with so many big games on the schedule, but here’s the hardest five.
