Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were a much-improved team in 2015, but still has a lot of work to do to become regular playoff contenders.

Biggest offseason question: How can the Buccaneers become a playoff team?

Notable free agent: Doug Martin

Biggest needs: DE, CB, S, OG

Outlook: The Bucs have a talented young offense led by Jameis Winston. Mike Evans and a healthy Austin Seferian-Jenkins give Winston pass-catching options. Re-signing Doug Martin is a priority to help maintain a well-rounded offense.

Winston should be an improved player in year two, and his development will go a long way to helping the Tampa Bay offense shift up a gear.

The biggest need for Tampa is to find a pass-rushing defensive end. Forming a dominant defense starts up front with the pass rush, and adding another disruptive edge defender is a must for the Bucs. They will also look to shore up a secondary that needs plenty of help, particularly in a division that features the likes of Julio Jones and Kelvin Benjamin.

With an improved defense, the Buccaneers can push themselves into playoff contention in 2016, although it won’t be easy in what has become a tough NFC South division.
