Robert Nkemdiche has quickly become the fore shamed prospect on the Atlanta Falcons’ radar and for that reason alone he’s on the list. Nkemdiche was arrested ironically in Atlanta for what the press is calling weed cigarettes. It’s blunts, guys. According to sports grid.com 94 percent of the players in the NFL smoke weed.

Former Falcons’ running back Jamal Anderson stated that 40 to 50 percent of the players in his playing days smoked weed so this notion of weed being a forbidden substance and nonexistent in the league is rather laughable.

If you’re knocking Nkemdiche for his arrest, then fine by that, but let’s keep his draft talks to his talent rather than his off-the-field activities that a good percentage of the league partakes in. Nkemdiche is a 3-tech defensive tackle and could reach the level of a Ndamukong Suh.

The Falcons dont necessarily need a 3-tech, but with the hole to fill at the 1-tech, Ra”Shede Hageman could move over into that roll which would free up a spot for Nkemdiche to start along side of him. At the end of the day, it wouldn’t be a perfect fit, but when you need players to rush the passer, having a 3-tech with the raw abilities of Nkemdiche are extremely valuable and having a guy like that on your defense is a game-changer.
