Michael Thomas is the No. 3 ranked wide receiver in this years’ draft according to CBS Sports and may fall right into the Atlanta Falcons’ lap in the early part of the second round. Thomas has been the best all-around receiver for Ohio State over the past couple of years and is going to make an NFL team very, very happy.

Thomas’ size is perfect. He’s 6-3, 220 pounds and to imagine him lined up opposite of Julio Jones is something that put’s a smile on my face. He is a strategic route-runner  and is very good in 50-50 situations and has a very good blood-line. Thomas is the cousin of former No. 1 overall pick Keyshawn Johnson.

What will make-or-break Thomas’ combine is his 40-yard dash time. While many thing it’s unfair to judge a player based on a short sprint, it’s a big part of the evaluation plan and he needs to run a good time to solidify himself as one of the top receivers in this years’ draft.
