$9 million

Nobody knows how hard the Atlanta Falcons will go after former Seattle Seahawks’ outside linebacker Bruce Irvin but to think that they wouldn’t throw a large sum of money his way is crazy. He has multiple ties to Atlanta with this being his hometown and his former defensive coach being the Falcons head coach and that should be something.

It’s going to cost the Falcons more money than they will want to pay in order to pry Irvin away from Seattle, but with a little over $30 million to spend on free agency, overspending a little bit is very doable and wouldn’t hurt the team in regards to other free agents.

Irvin would solve a lot of problems for the Falcons. He would give the Falcons more speed at the linebacker position, something Quinn has made a point of adding to the roster and he would bring a ton of energy to a defense that lacks in that department.

The 28-year-old is looking to get paid. the one thing the Falcons should worry about is a team throwing a ridiculous offer his way such as the Jacksonville Jaguars but if that doesn’t happen, the Falcons should be one of the front-runners to nab him and bring him home.
