The Atlanta Falcons’ all-time leader in receiving yards, receptions and touchdowns was let go just a short time ago which has sent the fan base into an absolute frenzy. The sadness and realization have started to set in and the Falcons’ twitter following has made their strong presence known.

Here is a look at some of the best tweets in regard’s to White’s release.

If you’re a Falcons’ fan, this is one of the saddest things that you could ever experience. This hurts a little more than losing a game for what White has meant to this franchise. White was here through the rough times in the mid 2000’s and was here for the Falcons’ great success in the last few years.

White has made countless catches that have dazzled all of us and including a catch against the Carolina Panthers to set up a game-winning field goal and a touchdown against the Seattle Seahawks’ legion of boom back in the 2012 divisional playoff round.

There will never be another White. His charisma, attitude and heart was as good as it gets. He rarely ever had anything on this face but a smile and enjoyed every minute of being apart of the Falcons. He made a lot of great friends here. Julio Jones is practically his brother, Matt Ryan has been a huge part of White’s success and countless others.

It might not sink in until the start of training camp before we all realize that White is no longer around. He stated that he wants to keep playing for another couple of years and will likely be signed by another team in the coming weeks. Whether we like it or not, White is gone but he will never be forgotten. We wish you the best of luck wherever your journey takes you next.

Thank you, Roddy White.
