Stefen Wisniewski

One of the biggest concerns for the offensive line with the Falcons was the inconsistent play from the center position. Weekly it seemed, fumbled snaps, missed blocks or holds from the “anchor” of the offensive line kept the ball going the wrong way as this position seemed to be the biggest liability.

Stefen Wisniewski is a veteran that is not going to jump off the page to most fans, as he doesn’t carry the same value as the premier center that may be in this free agency period, Alex Mack. Though he may not be the prized player, he is still a very good center and about 100 percent better option than the bodies that fielded the position for Atlanta last year. Only 26 years old, he could become more than a one-season-wonder for the Falcons.

Any move outside of bringing in the Alex Mack could be viewed as a failure, but Stefen Wisniewski would be a very good fit for this team. And when it comes to protecting the ball and Matt Ryan, Wisniewski is the answer that Atlanta is hoping to find.
