Usually you don’t start hearing factual rumors until the offseason begins, but the Atlanta Falcons got some rather interesting news from outside linebacker Bruce Irvin last summer when he made a statement that he was going to be playing for the Falcons in 2016.

Because of that statement, the Falcons’ fan base has been expecting this deal to go down once teams are able to start signing free agents but not so fast! It’s looking more and more like the Falcons will stay away from Irvin for multiple reasons.

For one, Irvin’s price tag is going to be very high. It will likely cost a team upwards of $10 million to nab the OLB and teams like the Jacksonville Jaguars who have oodles of money to spend just might be on the top of his list.

We will hopefully hear some more news regarding Irvin today or tomorrow, but it’s not looking good for a hometown return to the Dirty Birds.
