Atlanta Falcons: 5 reasons they just got a whole lot better
5) Dan Quinn know’s what he’s doing
We all know that Dan Quinn is a defensive-minded head coach and has done wonders in just over a year as Atlanta Falcons’ head coach in reshaping his team into a team that fits his style. After cutting strong safety William Moore, and pretty much gutting the entire linebacking corps, Quinn is on the verge of showing everyone just what he has in store for the future.
The Falcons added more depth to the defensive end position by inking former Miami Dolphins’ edge rusher Derrick Shelby and re-signed Adrian Clayborn. Atlanta now has three solid pass rushers in Vic Beasley, Shelby and Clayborn and will likely add at least one more in free agency and another in the 2016 NFL draft.
Quinn and the Falcons also fixed a major issue on the offense. They signed 3-time pro bowler Alex Mack to fill their need at the center position. He also appears to be adding depth to the wide receiver position by signing Mohamed Sanu, but that deal has yet to be finalized but could be by the team you read this.
We will have a better idea of the type of team Quinn is wanting to run in 2016 after the draft in late April but it’s pretty obvious that he knows what he’s doing and he has a nice plan to achieve that.
