5) The red zone offense couldn’t possibly be worse for Matt Ryan

The Atlanta Falcons’ red zone offense in 2015 was about as bad as it gets. They turned the ball over at a very high rate and left a lot  of potential points off of the board as a result. Turning the ball over at the worst possible times ultimately cost them a playoff berth so to think that their play in that area won’t get better in 2016 is silly.

The Falcons should get much better play in the red zone and score a lot more points than they did in 2015. Atlanta used to be one of the best teams in the red zone when they were rolling from 2010 to 2012 but that has quickly become a thing of the past.

The Falcons have got to be smarter with the ball and that all starts with Matt Ryan. Having another year under his belt in a new system should help and having a solid set of weapons to throw the ball to and to hand the ball off too should make things very easy for him.
