1) Ryan will have more time to throw the ball

Matt Ryan has shown that he can be effective no matter how good the offensive line is, but having a line that can give him ample time to throw the football should translate into better play. Ryan and an awful O-line in front of him in the 2013 and 2014 season and got better play in 2015 but nothing compared to what he will get protecting him in 2016.

Ryan has the best center in the NFL hiking him the ball which that alone should translate into good things. Alex Mack was signed to a 5-year deal which means no more Mike Person who was one of the worst offensive lineman in the NFL in 2015. Having a guy who can hike the ball and then pull around and block for Freeman or sit in the pocket and give Ryan time to progress through his reads will be night and day from what it was a season ago.

The Falcons still need to fill their right guard position but having Mack, Jake Matthews, Ryan Shraeder and Andy levitate on the line should be a lot of fun to watch. It’s been a long time coming, Falcons’ fans!
