The Falcons don’t have a strong safety on the roster worth starting

The Falcons have a huge hole to fill in their secondary and that’s the strong safety position. The Falcons currently have just one player on the roster who is an actual strong safety and that’s Kemal Ishmael. Ishmael has started here and their in the past two seasons but isn’t an excellent option as a starter.

This isn’t the biggest hole on the Falcons’ defense, but it’s a very close second. Atlanta missed out on several safeties in free agency and are now stuck with using one of their five draft picks on William Moore’s replacement. That is not great news, folks.

You shouldn’t throw in the white towel just yet when it comes to the strong safety position, but unless Atlanta finds themselves a gem in the draft, they will be in big trouble. Let’s hope they’re decision to draft a safety instead of singing one pays off.
