The Falcons don’t have a weak side linebacker on the roster worth starting
Signing Sean Weatherspoon was a great move, but let’s get something straight. They in no way shape or form signed him with the hopes of him taking over full-time duties at weak side linebacker in 2016. When healthy Weatherspoon has proven to be a good player but there’s a big issue with that. He never stays healthy.
Weatherspoon hasn’t been fully healthy since the 2012 season. That will be four years ago at the start of next season, folks. Four years without being fully healthy. So you best get him being a starter in 2016 out of your heads. There is one player in the 2016 draft that could solve this problem and that’s Darron Lee.

Lee its fast, physical and would instantly become the full-time starter at weak side linebacker. Weatherspoon would be a very solid backup and would provide a lot of leadership. But if he’s the starter, that is awful news.
