The Falcons’ secondary has no veteran leadership

Cutting William Moore was by far the right call. He was due to make a lot of money and just couldn’t stay healthy on a consistent basis. However, he did bring a lot of veteran leadership to that group and now they have zero.

The Falcons have Ishmael, Ricardo Allen and Charles Godfrey on the roster. That doesn’t scream leadership whatsoever. Godfrey is the most experienced but isn’t good enough to be out on the field that much and Allen is still extremely young.

Even if the Falcons draft William Moore’s replacement, that doesn’t add any veteran leadership to the unit. Atlanta will have to take what they can get before the start of next season and leadership just won’t be one of them, unfortunately.
