The Falcons have zero depth at inside linebacker

What has really upset the fan base was their choice to tender inside linebacker Paul Worrilow and not tender Nate Stupar. And as a result Stupar is now a member of the New Orleans Saints and Worrilow is coming back to the Falcons on a 1-year deal.

It appears that we will have to deal with one more season of Worrilow in Atlanta and that brings a tear to my eyes. Worrilow isn’t horrible, but he’s very close to it. He’s been the full-time starter at ILB for three years now and has only been known as a high tackle guy. He is awful in pass protection and is a very poor tackler more times than not.

And to add insult to injury, one of the most well-liked players on the Falcons’ roster up and left for the one team that is off-limits, the Saints. Atlanta now has nobody worth a crap at backup ILB and will likely have to fill that position in the draft or use one of their undrafted signings on Worrilow’s backup. Now that would be some poetic justice now wouldn’t it be? Seeing that Worrilow was an underrated free agent himself.
