2) Darron Lee – OLB

Ohio State outside linebacker Darron Lee took the Atlanta Falcons’ fan base by storm last week and as a result, his name is in the mix as a possible landing spot here with the dirty birds. Lee would solve the Falcons’ issue at weak side linebacker and that’s rather important at the moment.

The Falcons currently do not have a weak side linebacker on the roster capable of playing some snaps other than Sean Weatherspoon who was recently signed. Drafting Lee would give the Falcons their new full-time starter at that position and he would be able to learn form a guy like Weatherspoon for at least one season.

This pick makes sense if you’re wanting to fill the position with an able body but it doesn’t solve your problems if you’re looking for a player who could potentially be an all-pro. Lee lacks the ability to bring the heat. He isn’t going to go out there and hit anyone hard and that’s something you need out of that position. He is super fast and can cover a lot of ground, but can he become a pro bowl caliber linebacker? Who knows.
