Reggie Ragland

Reggie Ragland was basically the first player that people mocked to the Atlanta Falcons once people turned their attention to the draft but now that we’re less than a month out, we’re starting to hear less and less of Ragland to the Falcons and that’s for good reason.

Of the three linebacker spots, the biggest weakness is the weak side spot, not the middle. Nobody in the Falcons’ fan base is overly thrilled to see Paul Worrilow starting again, but he’s not the teams’ biggest issue. Starting Sean Weatherspoon at weak side linebacker would be much worse than starting Worrilow at middle linebacker. And for that reason, you don’t use your first-round pick on a linebacker that isn’t a great scheme fit instead of filling your biggest weakness.
