Jaylon Smith

I cannot tell you how many times people ask me my opinion on Notre Dame outside linebacker Jaylon Smith. My response is the same every time. No, he isn’t a first-round talent with his knee injury and no, the Falcons shouldn’t draft him.

When healthy he’s a good player and would help the Falcons. The bad news is his 2016 season as an NFL rookie is already up in the air with his knee injury so you can pretty much bank on him not playing most of the season. And with the issues that the Falcons have, drafting a player that wouldn’t be ready to go until 2017 isn’t a smart move.
