While OTAs and minicamp give the players and coaches the opportunity to begin work on the playbook and make early preparations on the season, training camp is where the true work begins. That is where position battles will be determined, schemes are enforced and the buildup to the 2016 season begins and ends.

There will be injuries unfortunately, but there will also be promise shown from young players currently under the radar. Importantly, it’s the chance for the coaches to get all of the returning players and new pieces added on both sides of the ball and enforce the plans to get better.

Football is almost here.
