Good morning, Falcons fans. Tick, tock. What’s that? It’s the NFL season, and it’s getting closer and closer. We’re another Sunday closer to the season opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Football is so close you can almost taste it.
For soccer fans, be sure to follow along with the Euros. It’s knockout time with every remaining team competing for a spot in the quarter-finals. Host nation France are in action today against the Republic of Ireland. It’s games like this that help pass the time as we wait for football to return.

If Julio Jones breaks any more receiving records this year, it’s probably a bad thing. Why? Because it would mean he’s being leaned on too heavily and likely wouldn’t have much help. That would mean Mohamed Sanu hasn’t met expectations and the offense is in the same spot as it was a year ago. If Jones doesn’t smash records, there’s a good chance the ball is being spread around a bit more.

Dan Quinn is committed to making the Falcons a better tackling team. Former England rugby coach Stuart Lancaster came into help improve just that. Lancaster shares many of the same views as Coach Quinn and was able to see how various drills and techniques can carry over from football to rugby.

At this time of year, people like to make predictions. Myself included. Here are some predictions for the NFC this season, and it’s no surprise to see the Falcons listed at 8-8 and outside of the playoffs looking in. Atlanta needs to prove to everyone else they are better than that, but they will need to navigate their way through a brutal schedule to do so.
