We are starting to get very close to a new season of Atlanta Falcons football, which for most of us cannot come soon enough. Let’s take a look ahead at three of the Falcons’ toughest opponents in 2016.

The Falcons have a middling schedule this year that while on the outside looks very tough could turn into a relatively mild schedule if several teams on it regress like many expect they will. One example of this is the Denver Broncos. who have lost of lot of key players and leaders.

The Rams, Eagles, Bucs, 49ers, Raiders and the Saints are all teams are more then capable of beating as well as teams that all have a good chance of sitting at home during the playoffs. The Falcons were incapable of beating these type of teams last season down the stretch dropping games to the Saints, Bucs, and 49ers.

That will be the key to this season and whether or not this team can take the next step by beating none playoff teams and being able to focus their attention on the tougher teams that we will face this year. If the Falcons cannot win these type of games then they will find themselves sitting at home throughout the playoffs as well. Let’s begin.
