Who are the NFC South’s best players?

This is not a list of the top players from solely from last season, which is why Cam Newton doesn’t sit top. That is not to say that he is not featured on this list rather that this list is focused more on the last few years of work and not just last year’s stats.

Doug Martin is one of three players who did not quite make the cut who is worth mentioning. In his four years in the league, Martin has rushed for over 1,000 yards in two of them. If he hadn’t spaced those two good years out, he would have made the cut.

Kenny Vaccaro is the guy who was hardest to leave off of this list. He has possibly his best years ahead of him and makes plays in a less then impressive Saints defense. The difference in him being in this list is the fact though he racked up the tackles he got beat a lot this year. I don’t think we have seen his best season yet.

Devonta Freeman is another name I would love to have put in the top-10 but he has to show he can stay healthy and produce for another season or two. As well as the fact he did not make some of the big plays that two first year players on this list did. Here are the top ten players in the NFC South.
