8. Gerald McCoy

Gerald McCoy is by far one of my favorite defensive lineman to watch in the league. He brings it on every down and has consistently made plays over the last few years. He finished the past four seasons with a combined 31.5 sacks, 10 passes defended and 112 tackles. For a defensive lineman those are great numbers.

He is the leader of a rebuilding Bucs defense that he has been a part of since the 2010 season. The one thing that I like most about him is his hustle no matter the score or the opponent. You never see him give up on a play or stop until the whistle blows.

If you had to pick one defensive player to build your team around from the NFC South the obvious answer would be a certain Panthers linebacker. As far defensive linemen go, however, there are very few in all of the NFL I would choose to build around ahead of McCoy.

He is coming into his seventh season with a team that finally looks like it could be worthy of his defensive skills.
