1) Wes Schweitzer, RG

Offensive lineman get the least amount of love on an NFL team. They’re asked to do a lot of dirty work that goes unnoticed by the novice fan, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t pay attention to them if you know what you’re talking about.

Schweitzer is currently in a battle with veteran Chris Chester for the starting right guard spot. And as of now, it’s anyone’s job. Scheweitzer was Atlanta’s sixth-round pick out of San Jose State and has very quietly played very well.

This 2016 Falcons draft class is starting to look better and better as the days go by. Last year the Falcons drafted a dud in Jake Rogers with their seventh-round pick. The same cannot be said about Schweitzer. He’s showed a willingness to adapt to the guard position after playing a lot of left tackle in college and that’s good to see.

This is a guy that will see a lot of playing time as a rookie regardless of if he starts or not. He’s too good not to play.
