Atlanta Falcons vs. the Seattle Seahawks

On Sunday, the scorching hot Atlanta Falcons head to CenturyLink Field to face off with fellow NFC rival, the Seattle Seahawks.

This game has a potential to be a playoff matchup as both teams are winning their respective divisions. The Falcons appear to have an iron-clad grip on the NFC South after the Carolina Panthers dropped to a sluggish 1-4 record.

On the other hand, the Seattle Seahawks are in control of a division that was expected to be much more divisive. Last year, the Arizona Cardinals were one of the best teams in the league. This year, the Seahawks appear to be the only team in the NFC West worthy of a vaulted playoff berth.

Expect to see a great game as one of the league’s most powerful offenses takes on one of the better defenses in the league.

Details for Sunday’s game are below:

Date: Sunday, October 16

Start Time: 3:25 PM

Location: Seattle, Washington

Stadium: CenturyLink Field

TV Info: Fox Broadcast

Keys to Victory

If the Atlanta Falcons can create pressure on Russell Wilson, Atlanta can come away with turnovers. Offensively, the Falcons must rely on their star quarterback Matt Ryan to make chain-moving throws. One of the easiest ways to ensure this will be to challenge the defense by shoving the talented halfback tandem of Tevin Coleman and Devonta Freeman.

For Seattle to win, Russell Wilson must be able to set his feet and throw. If Wilson fails to get proper pass protection, he is prone to under throwing receivers due to his smaller stature. With the Falcons having a crazy amount of weapons on their offense, this Seahawks team needs to attempt to plug up the middle and force Matt Ryan to pick them apart.

Betting Odds

Point Spread: 46 Seattle

O/U: -7 Seattle

Prediction

I expect the hotter team to pull out the victory. After having upset wins over the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers, the Atlanta Falcons will get the win over Seattle.

Final Score

24-21 Atlanta
