The Atlanta Falcons and Seattle Seahawks are playing in the battle of a student versus his teacher on Sunday. But the injury situation will have a massive impact on the game as the 4-1 Falcons take on the 3-1 Seahawks.

Atlanta Falcons Injury Report

The best news of the day is that despite all of the guys in the “Banged Up” section of the graphic above having existing injuries, they will all be playing. That includes the pair of starting linebackers in De’Vondre Campbell and Deion Jones. The Falcons will have Campbell, Jones and fellow rookie Keanu Neal starting together for the first time this season.

The starting defense is all healthy and off suspension for the first time this season and going against an offense that has one of the weakest offensive lines in football. Atlanta is getting everyone healthy at the right time. This is only going to be good. If the Falcons can stay relatively healthy from here to the bye, they can compete in every game.

There is one player listed as out, and that’s Paul Worrilow. The backup middle linebacker will easily be replaced by LaRoy Reynolds who had a good game last week when Jones was out. The Falcons can absorb the loss easily and will enjoy getting back Worrilow in a couple of weeks for even better depth than they have had.

Seattle Seahawks Injury Report

Thomas Rawls is the Seahawks starting running back, and there is no question that the run game is worse without him splitting carries with Christine Michael. Michael will definitely be carrying the load and splitting it with C.J. Prosise should the former Notre Dame back play despite being listed as questionable.

Quinton Jefferson has been rotating in on the defensive line often and helps with the run game a lot. Also, Frank Clark is the Seahawks second-best pass rusher this season, and he might miss the game with a hamstring injury. There are also quite a few guys banged up on the Seahawks offense from starting quarterback Russell Wilson to receivers Tyler Lockett and Jimmy Graham.

However, the biggest, most impactful injury for this game will come from the groin injury that Kam Chancellor suffered during practice on Friday. Chancellor is the tone-setting starting strong safety for the Seahawks defense and without him, they could have a lot of trouble stuffing the run and the intermediate passing game that the Falcons have thrived on.
