It can be said that the Atlanta Falcons were one yellow penalty flag and about a foot wide right in a game winning field goal attempt away from being 6-1. While the team can continue to dwell on a penalty flag that should have been thrown and the few inches away the football came from entering the goal post, their record is sealed, permanent, and impenetrable. The team is surely aware of this and know that they simply cannot focus on what could have been.

Instead of glancing in the rear-view mirror, the coaching staff and team know that the road that lies ahead is much more important and essential to their pursuit of contention this season. The team must shatter this rear-view mirror and throw away the broken pieces that consist of the mishaps of the previous two games and even the debacle of last year’s collapse to prove to the doubters that this is not a 2015 replica.

There is not a better way to do so than by defeating the Green Bay Packer’s this week who are also yearning to overcome several problems of their own.  While Aaron Rodgers isn’t looking as dominant as could be right now, with him at the helm, you can never underestimate his elite abilities and the potency of this team.

However, the Falcons are just as potent and well-equipped to get right back on track of their winning ways this week. Here are three X-Factors for the team in order for them to right their ship and prove their growth and legitimacy.
