Conclusion

Joe Kalafut: The Eagles win games they shouldn’t win, and lose games they should win. With that said, I could see this game being a 14+ point blowout in favor of the Falcons. The only way the Eagles can win this game is if they shut down the run and make the Falcons one dimensional on offense.

My take: Despite the Eagles 1-4 record in their last five games, this team should not be overlooked. The Eagles defense is probably the third best defense the Falcons will face all season long behind Denver’s and Seattle’s.

If the defense manages to keep the Falcons offense in check, then all bets are off with this game. I expect the Falcons to take their shots downfield with Julio against the Eagles inferior cornerbacks and hopefully that’ll open things up in the run game. It’ll be crucial that Atlanta gets off to a fast start and force the rookie quarterback into a shootout. If they can do that, the Falcons will have a great chance of extending their road record to 5-1.
