The 2017 NFL Schedule has been released and one game to circle for Atlanta Falcons fans will be their game against the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football

The 2017 NFL schedule was released and a big match up will take place on Monday Night Football. One of the most talked about games during the 2016 season happened to be when the Atlanta Falcons dropped a close one on the road against the Seattle Seahawks. In this game which took place in mid-October the ‘Hawks took a commanding 17-3 lead into the half, but it came down to the final minutes.

Atlanta soared back with three touchdown passes from 2016 NFL MVP Matt Ryan, and the Falcons headed to the fourth quarter in command of the game. The Seahawks then fought back and they were able to once again secure the lead thanks to a nine-point effort in the final period.

What made this game infamous though is what happened to close it out. Seattle kicker Steven Hauschka drilled a 44-yard field goal with 1:57 left to play which made the score 26-24 Seattle. The Falcons then took the ball but saw the game end on four-straight incomplete passes, the last of which was a clear-cut penalty by Seattle cornerback Richard Sherman, which was not called.

Atlanta of course lost this game after this no-call, but then got their revenge. The two teams met up again in the post season this past January and despite saying they weren’t upset about how the first meeting went, they had to take solace in the way they played. Atlanta dominated throughout and walked away with a 36-20 win at home.

Now round three heads back to Seattle and all eyes will be on these two teams again thanks to it being on ESPN’s Monday Night Football in Week 11.
