Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Mohamed Sanu made a positive impression on a flight simply by being himself and received a heartwarming letter from a family

Since joining the Atlanta Falcons prior to the 2016 NFL season, wide receiver Mohamed Sanu has been seen as a great teammate and a player fans can really get behind. He has a genuine personality, engages with the Falcon faithful at games and via social media and has always steered clear of any controversy.

More evidence of his all-around good nature was seen recently as Sanu shared a thoughtful letter left for him on a flight. After his plane landed Sanu shared with the world — via Twitter —  a note left for him where a family thanked him for showing their 10-year old son how to treat people.

According to the letter the young boy who was training to be a hockey player saw first hand what it took to be a pro as Sanu was deep in study with his playbook despite the regular season being months away. Sanu also made smart choices with his food and was polite to everyone he came in contact with.

While most may not think any of that is a huge deal, it really is. People in the public light like Sanu are constantly being watched and judged by everyone. There’s also rarely a moment’s peace as they are easily recognizable and often have more greetings with random strangers in a week than most of us have in an entire year.

Sanu showed that it’s still possible to live that lifestyle and be a light. On top of that his tweet seemed to show genuine thankfulness for the kind words he received. The Atlanta Falcons have to be proud to have someone like him.
