Three draft picks is a lot to give up, so the Falcons decided to trade down to restock on picks.

The Atlanta Falcons traded their second round pick (63) to the Buffalo Bills for their third round pick (75) and two fifth round picks (149 and 156).

This trade has drawn heavy praise, as it allowed the Falcons to still acquire the players in the draft they desired, but also gain back some of what they lost in the trade with the Seahawks to move up for McKinley.
