Yesterday was Mother’s Day, let’s take a look at how the Falcons celebrated the special women in their lives.

Always on top of things, the Atlanta Falcons social media team brightened the day with a heartwarming collage of several players with their mothers. Everyone needs the guidance and support of their mother to succeed, and the Falcons are no exception.

Justin Hardy’s twitter feed is full of encouraging and driving quotes tweeting, “Thanking GOD for allowing me to see another day” almost daily. However, in addition to his daily thankful tweet, he made sure to thank his mother on the day of the year set aside for her. For Hardy, Mother’s Day is more than just a day for his mother. Losing his father four years ago, yesterday was a day to reflect and to be thankful for all that his parents did for him, but also to be thankful for all that he is able to now do for his mother. Now, he is her medium of support and strong provider, and he is blessed to be able to care for her in this difficult time without her husband.

Devonta Freeman was not born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Growing up in the suburbs of Miami, he was exposed to several negative influences. However, due to his careful upbringing from his family and his own smart choices, he flourished and made his way to the NFL. His mother and grandmother are just a few of the reasons for his inspired and passionate play, and he rightfully honored them for their contribution to his success.
