Atlanta Falcons: Potential free agent, Nate Paxton scouting report
Nate Paxton, DE, Georgia State University Is Something Special and the Atlanta Falcons should take a hard look at adding him to their defensive line
Early Life
Defensive end Nate Paxton, out of Georgia State is someone who is a hard performer, someone who works for what they want, and someone who knows what it takes to get better. Paxton started off his life a fan of the Atlanta Falcons and he was also very un-wealthy. A lucky day for Paxton was the ability to sleep in a bed and be able to enjoy a quality meal. That’s when he developed football.
Football Career and Being a Fan
In his early life, Paxton was a huge fan of the Falcons and ever since it has been his dream to play in Atlanta and prove he is worth it to the fans. In high school, he was an All-County Selection in a local Atlanta high school. He was then selected into the DeKalb All-Star Game and put up strong numbers.
His career high in high school was 15 tackles against Cedar Grove. The defensive lineman was a three year letter winner after receiving an athletic scholarship following an open tryout at Georgia State University. He made the Sun Belt Athletic Honor Roll 2 times and the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll 3 times.
Paxton played offensive guard, defensive line, linebacking, and on the special teams unit. Obviously a versatile athlete. VERY strong against opposing offensive lineman, and very powerful with his tackling. Hard pursuit as well.
Why It Is So Important to Him
Paxton has clearly been a constant example of a good person, athlete, teammate and friend. Though he didn’t play a lot in college, he smiled during games, practices and helped his teammates if they were doing something wrong. He was always a team player. He wants this position on the Falcons because he wants to show people around him that if you really believe your time will come and you will work at it, then that dream will come true.
He wants to prove himself to the Big A that he is an amazing athlete and can help the Falcons win a ring. Finally, he wants to prove it to his family that if you work hard, anything is possible.
Conclusion
To conclude, knowing Atlanta head coach Dan Quinn drafted defensive end Takkarist McKinley for his story — and of course speed and physicality — that may lead for good things for Paxton as he shares the same attributes.
