Atlanta Falcons: New quarterback coach impressed with Matt Ryan

New Atlanta Falcons quarterback coach Bush Hamdan had a Q&A with the Atlanta Journal-Constitutional and is impressed by 2016 NFL MVP Matt Ryan
In February the Atlanta Falcons hired former Washington wide receiver coach Bush Hamdan to be their new quarterback coach. The young man recently sat down with D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitutional for a Q&A as the reporter tried to get a better feel of who will be working with Matt Ryan and Matt Schaub for the defending NFC Champs.
Hamdan discussed several things, like how he just missed working with offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian at Washington — who used to be the head coach for the Huskies. Hamdan also raved about the offense Atlanta ran, and how it will still be similar to what they have done since Dan Quinn was named head coach.
The thing the new coach talked about more than anything though was his fondness for 2016 NFL MVP Matt Ryan.
"“He works with a chip on his shoulder. That’s what has been really unique for me see him day to day. Seeing what he looks like in May and June. How he attacks everything that he does. It starts there. From a player’s standpoint, if you just really have watched him over the past four or five years, there is certain element of toughness that you don’t just think about naturally maybe with the quarterback position or him in general. But …it shows up with him standing in the pocket, moving the pocket with walls of people in his face.” — Hamdan on Matt Ryan via D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitutional"

Hamdan almost sounds more like a fan who is in awe of Ryan as opposed to a coach who is going to instill anything new into the Falcons’ starting quarterback. Even so, it’s impossible to disagree with him that the way Ryan plays is impressive.
