Atlanta Falcons: Brian Hill didn’t like 38, talks Georgia weather
By Randy Gurzi
Atlanta Falcons rookie running back Brian Hill had a Q&A with the team’s website and talked about the weather in Georgia and his recent number change
A fifth-round pick out of Wyoming, running back Brian Hill is an intriguing player for the Atlanta Falcons. He amassed over 1,800 yards in his final collegiate season, and added 22 touchdowns to the mix as well for the Cowboys.
Now he adjusts to a new role as he’s third in line behind the talented duo of Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman at running back.
But who exactly is Brian Hill? Matthew Tabeek of the Falcons official team web site sat down and asked the 219-pound rookie a few questions, like why he switched from number 38 to 25 recently.
"“I just didn’t like 38. Akeem (King) was wearing 25 and we just had an agreement to switch numbers and that’s about it. You know, you look good, you feel good, and you play good. … Thirty-eight is very ugly.”"
He also got into some questions about who Hill was excited to meet, and what he brings to the table. As for the first of those questions, Hill spoke about Tevin Coleman, a guy who shares agents with the rookie. As for his style, Hill quoted his aggressiveness as a runner as his biggest asset.
Tabeek and Hill also talked about the difference in weather between Wyoming and the hot weather state of Georgia.
"It’s definitely more humid than Wyoming, that’s for sure. I’m just getting used to it. The first day I was battling cramps a little bit, but I feel like my body is getting more acclimated to the weather and I’m able to go out there and do what I need to do."
