Taking a look at the Atlanta Falcons first preseason game and examining the three biggest takeaways from their performances

It’ll be hard to make a concrete decision on how well a player or an unit as a whole performed in one pre-season game but a few things were evident as the Atlanta Falcons took the field against the Miami Dolphins.

Though the Falcons lost their pre-season opener to the Miami Dolphins 23-20, many players showed up early in the organization’s improvements on both sides of the ball.

Younger guys like Marvin Hall, Reggie Davis, and JT Jones were given a chance early to showcase their efforts towards making the team while other veterans like Andre Roberts and Dontari Poe flashed early in their new uniforms.

Others like Eric Saubert, Jalen Collins, and Brian Hill struggled throughout most of their game reps but it would seem unnecessary to judge their future with the Falcons over one bad game.

Given that most players were set on a limited timeline it would seem only be fair to analyze three of the biggest takeaways from the game against the Dolphins and how the Falcons can build upon it for the future.
