  • Sanu is the perfect case study for “fantasy vs. reality”. The Rutgers product had a great season as Atlanta’s number 2 WR last season, doing everything asked of him in the role. However, he finished as just the WR54 in standard scoring leagues, disappointing fantasy owners.

Sanu should be in for a slight uptick in yardage this year; but it’ll be more of the same production with Julio Jones dominating the position and Matt Ryan spreading the ball around. Sanu is a decent redzone threat. With how much Atlanta gets into the red area, he should score more than the meager 4 TDs he had last season, despite the expected extra looks Julio Jones’ way.

Draft Sanu late in your fantasy drafts and use him as a decent bye week plug in with some stand alone flex appeal in certain matchups. If Julio Jones gets hurt, then Sanu will be a low end WR2 as the new number 1 receiving option.
