5. How does Mercedes-Benz Stadium look in its debut

Speaking of debuts, perhaps the best one of them all will occur this Saturday when the Atlanta Falcons christen their brand new home, the $1.6 billion Mercedes-Benz Stadium. They move into this after calling the Georgia Dome home since 1992.

While only those in attendance will get to appreciate Atlanta’s new crown jewel in its entirety, the open air venue should provide some cool sight lines for the fans watching at home. Although that will probably just increase your desire to go and check it out in person.

Unfortunately, we all have to wait for open air football in Atlanta a little while longer as it was recently announced that the roof shall remain indefinitely closed. But as the old adage goes, “good things come to those who wait.”

And hopefully, by season’s end, that applies to more than just a retractable roof.
