The Atlanta Falcons have begun to trim their roster down from 90 to 53 and have until 4 PM EST on Saturday, stick with us for all the updates

A smart move was made by the NFL this season when they eliminated the tiered roster cuts. Now there’s simply one weekend where all teams have to get their team from 90 men down to 53. What’s made this fun is the amount of trades that have taken place thus far, including one by the Atlanta Falcons.

The trades have been coming in as teams don’t want to risk losing certain bubble players in the flurry of transactions on Saturday. With more players being released at once than ever before, it makes a lot of sense to lock down the guys you want before others can stick their hands out for some leftovers.

Atlanta secured the services of offensive tackle Ty Sambrailo from the Denver Broncos in exchange for a fifth-round pick. While many fans remember Sambrailo getting lit up by edge rusher Vic Beasly, Jr., he does bring some experience to a weak position.
