Atlanta Falcons fans, the Dirty Birds are beginning to find their stride, but what would this team look like if there was a 2017 NFL Draft do over?

I always do this right after Draft weekend has ended. Play the “what if?” game. The Monday Morning Quarterback (or, in this case, General Manager) game. This is what I had thought the Falcons should have done back in the end of April, and have they have done so, so how this 6-4 team look now?

Let’s redraft the 2017 Atlanta Falcons picks, shall we? Here we go:

Note – First number (round) – Second number (pick)

1 – 31: Forrest Lamp – Offensive Guard – Western Kentucky University

Plug-and-play at right guard to replace former Falcon Chris Chester. Or, at least that’s what he would have been if he hadn’t gotten injured in the preseason.

2 – 63: Jordan Willis – Defensive End – Kansas State University

Part of the edge-rushing rotation with Falcons defensive players Vic BeasleyBrooks Reed and Adrian Clayborn.

3 – 95: Eddie Jackson – Free Safety – University of Alabama

A legitimate competitor with Falcons safety Ricardo Allen for the starting free safety job.

4 – 136: Blair Brown – Outside Linebacker – Ohio University

Could have been a backup weakside linebacker behind Falcons DeVondre Campbell (remember, right after the draft, Campbell had not yet been moved to the strongside) and core special teamer.

5 – 174: Sam Tevi – Offensive Tackle – University of Utah –

Backup swing tackle behind Falcons Jake Matthews and Ryan Schraeder.

6 – 214: traded to the Tennessee Titans as part of the Andy Levitre trade.

7 – 249: Chris Carson – Running Back – Oklahoma State University

Third running back on the depth chart behind Falcons Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman. Could have been the designated short-yardage back.

Had these players been picked by the Falcons, how would this 6-4 team look?
