What players do you think will stand out when the Atlanta Falcons play the Kansas City Chiefs?

Every game there are players that stand out more than others.  This week the Atlanta Falcons will take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2 of the preseason.  Both teams will still be trying to figure out who their hard workers are, and who is going to make the biggest impact for their squad.

First off, every team has their impact players on both sides of the ball.  On offense you’re usually looking at your quarterback, running back, or maybe even a receiver.

For the Falcons this week, the player that’ll make the biggest impact will be Ito Smith. He’s out to prove his spot on the roster. The former Southern Mississipi running back was drafted in the fourth round.  Coming out of college, Smith was not known for being a speed back. If he wants to make it in the NFL he will need to develop excellent field vision, as well as some wiggle.

On defense, you want to have players that are always testing out their toughness.  This week, fans should look to Anthony Winbush as a player to watch. Winbush may not have the size, but he possesses a high level of technical skill and backs it up with his hustle. If he has his way, Winbush is quick off the ball and busts through blocks easily.

For the Chiefs this week, everyone is going to be watching Patrick Mahomes, and for good reason. The former Texas Tech passer will be coming into his second season, but his first as a starter. The Falcons will need to be careful when facing Mahomes as he’s the true definition of a dual-threat’ quarterback. If a team decides to play the pass against Mahomes, he’s got the speed to take off and run. If a team dares Mahomes to throw it deep, he’s got the arm to make any throw. Any way you slice it, this second-year player has the potential to be a game changer for the Chiefs.

Lastly, I believe that these three players will have the biggest impact on this week’s matchup.  Be on the lookout for each player to make some big plays and show how they’re also improving each week to get ready for the regular season.
