The Atlanta Falcons are the 2019 NFC Champions

The Atlanta Falcons will be your 2019 NFC South and your 2019 NFC Champions. Yes, you read that right, the Atlanta Falcons will be the NFC representative in Miami for Super Bowl 54.

A year late? Sure. Better late than never.

What makes me so sure that this will happen? Well, there is a lot more than blind fandom or faith.

As a fan of Atlanta sports, especially the Falcons, it takes more than faith or fandom, it takes the ability to see beyond the roster, beyond the coaching staff and certainly, beyond the ridiculousness that has been the Falcons front office under Thomas Dimitroff.

The roster moves that have been made so far – cutting Robert Alford and Brooks Reed as well as not picking up the four million dollar team option on Kicker Matt Bryant, to me, signifies that the front office and coaching staff understands that this is now or never.

After looking at the draft, the potential free agents and the 2019 schedule, I am positive that the Atlanta Falcons will be the 2019 NFC South and your 2019 NFC Champions.

There are still some tough decisions to make by March 1st, specifically the 12 million dollar option on Vic Beasley; as I have stated previously, it’s time to move on. However, I think the more likely scenario is they negotiate somewhere in the five to six million dollar range for the former first round pick.
