The NFL Combine is currently underway in Indianapolis, the official start to the 2019 NFL season is upon us. Here is a quick short list of guys Atlanta Falcons fans should watch, and the good news, most of these guys perform on Sunday and Monday, so you can knock out your honey-do lists on Saturday before turning on the NFL Network.

The players we have listed below are those we believe the Atlanta Falcons will target in the first three rounds of this year’s NFL Draft.

Players to watch Sunday:

  1. Christian Wilkins, DT, Clemson
  2. Dexter Lawrence, DT, Clemson
  3. Quinnen Williams, DL, Alabama
  4. Albert Huggins, DT, Clemson
  5. Ed Oliver, DT, Houston
  6. Montez Sweat, Edge, Miss State
  7. Chase Winovich, Edge, Michigan

Players to watch Monday:

  1. Deandre Baker, DB, UGA
  2. Trayvon Mullen, DB, Clemson
  3. Greedy Williams, DB, LSU

News came out Friday afternoon that the Falcons were not expected to make any type of splash in Free Agency, which is not what Arthur Blank had said a couple months when he proclaimed everyone was on the hot seat.

I maintained that the Falcons would address OL needs in Free Agency and continue to address the defense in the draft. We did not expect the Falcons to make a “splash” but that does not mean they do not have their targets.

Falcons nation should be hopeful that Dimitroff and Quinn learned last year that going after the mid-level offensive lineman will not get it done and need to go after players like Atlanta native Chance Warmack, Roger Saffold and James Carpenter.

I do believe that the Falcons will bring back both Andy Levitre and Ben Garland, who are two of the top available guards in 2019 Free Agency as well.

Next. Bringing back Irvin is a no-brainer. dark
