Following the mantra under coach Dan Quinn, the Falcons should seriously consider taking Devin White in the 2019 NFL Draft.

With Free Agency starting to slow down and the NFL Draft is still a month away, this is the time of the year where everyone thinks of hypothetical situations for the Draft. It is no secret the Falcons need to address offensive and defensive line in the draft. However, taking Devin White in the first round would be a home run selection for the Falcons.

As most of you know Devin White is an athletic freak linebacker from LSU. White played 34 career games at LSU racking up 172 total tackles, 114 solo, 8.5 sacks, 4 forced fumbles, and an interception. He graded out well at the combine running a 4.42 forty, 22 reps on the bench, and having a 39.5 inch vertical!

Lance Zierlein from NFL.com did a scouting report on White comparing him to Jaguars LB Myles Jack. White is a three down linebacker that will thrive in pass coverage. The main weakness he has is recognizing running plays and falling for play action.

Teams will be able to work around his weaknesses with a good defensive minded coach, which is exactly what the Falcons have with Dan Quinn. In Seattle, Dan Quinn was able to develop linebackers like Bobby Wagner and KJ Wright. Wagner and Wright became key contributors to the Seahawks’ playoff runs in 2013 and 2014. We could see a great LB duo with Devin White lined up right next to Deion Jones.
