The offseason is nearly behind us, with training camp opening is 18 days, there will be football every month moving forward. Atlanta Falcons fans should be excited for what lies ahead.

The National Football League has done a tremendous job of trying to give the fans something football related every single month. They do a great job of keeping their fans engaged so that they keep as much attention on the sport as possible. Sites like Blogging Dirty, do a great job of giving Atlanta Falcons fans daily content to help pass the time as well.

The Falcons announced last week the open dates for training camp at the teams headquarters in Flowery Branch. While camp officially opens for the team on Thursday July 18th, the open practice dates will be July 22nd through the 29th. Those six days are a great affordable way to get kids out to see their favorite Falcons player at a low-cost (free) option to parents.

With all the talk this off-season about what the Falcons should expect this year, training camp will be critical to whether they live up to or exceed those expectations. Fans are hoping for a shot at the playoffs, while players like Matt Ryan are talking championship possibilities. Most of us are hoping for the latter.

Publications like Sporting News say there are seven quarterbacks better than Matt Ryan. Websites like Pro Football Focus say the Falcons have the 11th best roster in the NFL. This month is when players are able to start showing whether the disrespect is unwarranted or flat out wrong.
