Not only did the NFL season officially kickoff when the Atlanta Falcons took on the Broncos Thursday night, but one of the best selling video game franchises of all time was released just a few hours later.

As the preseason kicked off last Thursday with the Atlanta Falcons and Denver Broncos, football fans are starting to get excited for the 2019 season. Many fans are also excited because they can watch the rookies play and hope to see some flashes from them.

Falcons fans definitely saw that in the Hall of Fame game as rookie John Cominsky showed flashes and looks like a promising young player.

Some football fans are also excited about last week because Madden 20 came out last Friday on August 2nd. Madden revamped the game play mechanics and ratings to feel like a different game and not one from year’s past.

One aspect of Madden that will never change and will always be controversial are the player ratings. They love to give players higher ratings for flash rather than actual talent. The Falcons do not have many flashy players but have a lot of talent ones. They continue to disrespect the Falcons as many of these players deserve higher ratings.

The first player that deserves a higher rating is none other than Julio Jones. His current rating in the game is a 98 overall. Madden should be charged with a crime for that rating because Julio lead the league in receiving yards. He has been an elite player since 2012 and continues to get disrespected. He has never been a 99 overall and he should have been the last five years.
