Five Atlanta Falcons who should have a higher Madden Rating
By Matt Siegman
Takk McKinley
Takk is another player that should have a higher Madden rating. Currently his madden rating is a 78 overall ranking him the 22nd best right defensive end in the game. Madden has yet to adopt the term edge and DL. There are multiple players listed as a right defensive end that are really DL because they play on a team that runs a 3-4 defense.
It is hard to evaluate edge and DL because they have different responsibilities and impact the defense in different ways. Given Takk’s potential and popularity he should have a higher rating than a 78 overall. There is no doubt in anyone’s mind his rating will improve by the end of the year because of the monster season he is about to have.
Currently his pass rushing moves are low impacting his overall. His power rushing moves are a 66 and his finesse rushing moves are a 79. Given his athleticism and relentless effort the pass rushing moves should be much higher. His block shedding is also a 68, which should be higher as well.
Takk is entering his third season with the team and has made impactful plays in his two seasons. He was the teams best pass rusher and gave the defense juice. His Madden rating should be around an 83 or 84 overall.
