Five Atlanta Falcons who should have a higher Madden Rating

Calvin Ridley

Last season Calvin Ridley had an incredible rookie season with the Falcons. He led all rookie receivers with 10 receiving touchdowns and 821 receiving yards. Ridley was tied for sixth in receiving touchdowns behind Antonio Brown, Davante Adams, Eric Ebron, Deandre Hopkins, and Tyrek Hill. The Falcons were a disaster in the red zone last season and improved greatly with the addition of Calvin Ridley.

Currently Ridley is the 60th ranked wide receiver in the game with a 79 overall. Given his skill set as a route runner he should be ranked higher than a 79 overall. He should also rank higher because he had a better season and is more talented than other receivers with higher ratings.

The biggest example is Panthers wide receiver DJ Moore. Moore was drafted by the Panthers in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft a couple of spots ahead of Calvin Ridley. Madden promises they look at stats but Ridley had more receiving yards and touchdowns than Moore did during the 2018 season.

The disrespect Madden has against Falcons players is ridiculous. Madden is all about flash and promises they look at stats by Pro Football Focus. It is only a matter of time until Madden realizes they made a mistake and forgetting the Atlanta Falcons are a good football team with talented players.
