The Atlanta Falcons lack discipline and proper coaching

After another disappointing road performance for the Atlanta Falcons, one thing is painfully obvious now, this team is undisciplined.

The Atlanta Falcons had another lackluster performance Sunday in a 27-24 defeat against the Indianapolis Colts that saw the team forget to show up in the first half. This is the second straight road game that the team looked un prepared and completely outmatched in every way imaginable.

The defense made Jacoby Brissett look like Peyton Manning and the offense did absolutely nothing in the first half, waiting for the second half to get going. This can’t continue to happen if they want to accomplish anything this season.

The aggressive and tenacious defense that Dan Quinn has been wanting and yearning for still has not shown up and this point I don’t think it ever will. The defenders are always a step too late to get a sack and the secondary looked lost on several third down plays in the game. At this point, I am sick of seeing a team with this much talent on both sides of the ball consistently lay an egg and make stupid mistakes.

Against the Colts, there were plenty of these stupid mistakes in the form of untimely penalties. 16 penalties for 128 yards is unacceptable. Many of these were in situations that ended up costing the Atlanta Falcons in the end. There is no excuse for the team to play this poorly and make this many mental mistakes in crucial situations. It is obvious that this team lacks discipline.

Quinn yet again failed to get the team prepared and put on an embarrassing performance that leaves Atlanta Falcons fans wondering what the hell they just watched. At this point, it is getting ridiculous. Even in the teams 24-20 win over the Philadelphia Eagles, they still looked sloppy.

It’s gut check time for the Atlanta Falcons. dark. Next

Quinn went into the season on the hot seat and with the performances that we have seen so far this season from the Atlanta Falcons, the seat is only getting hotter.
