Thomas Dimitroff should force a change for the Atlanta Falcons defense

No one should be surprised that Atlanta Falcons head coach Dan Quinn refuses to give up play-calling duties, but Thomas Dimitroff should mandate this happen effective immediately.

Dan Quinn is no different than any other head coach in any sport, he has a big ego. Unfortunately, the Atlanta Falcons are the victims of his gigantic ego and someone has to put a stop to this immediately. Arthur Blank is reportedly trying to wait until the bye week to really evaluate Dan Quinn.

This is his team and even if we don’t like it, there is nothing we can do. However, Thomas Dimitroff can do his job, step in and require Dan Quinn to allow someone else to take over the NFL’s worst defense.

Through halftime today, Dan Quinn’s defense has made every quarterback they have faced in 2019, look like the greatest quarterback in NFL history. Rookie Kyler Murray directed a Cardinals offense to more than 300 yards of offense in the first two quarters and they scored on all four of their first-half drives.

I am not sure what else anyone within the Atlanta Falcons front office needs to see, but Dan Quinn and his schemes are not getting it done; offensive coordinators across the NFL are salivating at the thought of facing a Dan Quinn defense.

The Falcons body language of the Falcons players says they are ready for a change, the least Dimitroff can give them is a change in scheme and give them something to be excited about again. This team needs something to get it going, changing the defensive play-caller would be a step in the right direction.
